Inside this twisting plot, the story is all about coming home and leaving the past behind, but when the past becomes the present, danger will follow her. Caitlin Harrington’s family drama, lack of welcome home from a few, and vicious rumors of why she’s home permeates this small town of Naultag enough to believe that the person to watch out for is really close. However, the more you get into this read the harder it becomes to know who is the one. In this suspenseful read, I so enjoyed meeting Caitlin and getting to her, but I fell in love with Sean Taggart!
***This opinion is my own.***
Caitlin Harrington’s new job means coming home to a haunted past but leaves her feeling safe to be away from Adam. This guy didn’t seem to understand the word no. The heartbreak of the family issues and living with her grandmother’s death can get to her, and she struggles to keep her faith both in God and in herself. Afraid to trust anyone that wasn’t close to her already leads to a rocky relationship with the one she wants to lean on. Meanwhile, Sean Taggart helps runs the campground and is a firefighter who is naturally cautious after his disastrous last relationship, but he seems to becoming aware of Caitlin Harrington, leaving him to wonder about those rumors. Her insistence that everything is fine isn’t ringing true to him. Was she just aloof or did she seem nervous?
