Within THE ROOM WITH THE SECOND BEST VIEW (Tales from the Goose Creek B&B Series), Virginia Smith drops us off at an intersection of troubles!

It starts as an act of kindness by offering something nice to someone who assists you. What bad can come from this especially when it connects to your work life or your boss? Millie wanted this house for her bed and breakfast plans, but at the time of purchase, Al was not in on this idea. However, he did agree later on and retirement is only years away now, but what Millie Richardson sees as a dry run, of sorts, her husband, Al Richardson, sees as a home intrusion. This husband and wife duo seems to be on two different timelines, although Millie’s timelines do have a habit of launching before Al gives input. Sometimes, spouses think alike, but at other times, they couldn’t be further apart in the thought process.

Issues come from many directions as town events, personal problems, work issues, home renovations, and health troubles collide, forcing plans to go astray.

The results leave all unprepared and in a scramble to keep up!

Early on, this town’s newest couple was ostracized. Friends from around the town begin to take sides. However, when accomplices gather, do they ponder when evil intentions will turn on them? Will friendships be restored?

Meanwhile, the problems inside this not-yet-opened bed and breakfast grow in size, number, and scope.

THE ROOM WITH THE SECOND BEST VIEW (Tales from the Goose Creek B&B Series) by Virginia Smith begins with secrets and planning for celebrations.

Goose Creek, Kentucky is about to reach its 150th anniversary, and by the way of this date, the celebration planning committee is in high gear, until health problems sideline its financing hopes. However, the newest and least liked and most ostracized townsfolk step in to lend a hand and turn friends into foes as they get the job done.

However, money, notoriety, power, and friendship clash in the harshest of measures. Long-standing residents take sides and friendship pays the price. Could power struggles leave this town’s gala in a shambles?
